IALCC

The International Association of Lay Cistercian Communities (IALCC) serves as a central organization for Lay Cistercian communities worldwide. According to their records, there are approximately 70 officially recognized Lay Cistercian communities across the globe. These communities maintain close relationships with Cistercian monasteries and provide structured support for lay members seeking to live out the Cistercian charism in their daily lives. The Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance (OCSO) also acknowledges and supports these lay groups, recognizing them as vital expressions of the broader Cistercian family. A comprehensive list of these communities, along with information on their affiliations, can be found on the official websites of the IALCC and OCSO. These resources offer a thorough overview of Lay Cistercian communities worldwide, reflecting the diverse and growing nature of the movement.
